Mattress Warranty Booklet 

Everyday life at home puts a mattress to the test. BALDIFLEX mattresses comply with the strictest quality and durability standards and are rigorously tested to withstand daily life at home. For this reason, BALDIFLEX allows for an extension of the warranty against any defects in materials and workmanship on the mattresses. This warranty is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this document.

 

Duration of the extended warranty

The extended warranty for mattresses is valid for ten (10) years from the date of purchase. It is necessary to present the original receipt or a copy of the web order as proof of purchase.

 

Validity of the extended warranty

The present extended warranty is offered by Baldi s.r.l. (hereinafter also "BALDIFLEX") and is valid in Italy. The additional warranties will be valid exclusively from the effective date established by BALDIFLEX depending on the products involved, taking into account the date indicated in the purchase document. BALDIFLEX may, at its discretion, modify the application of the warranties over time starting from a predetermined date. What does it cover? extended warranty

This extended warranty applies only to domestic use and covers defects in materials and workmanship of all mattresses. The extended warranty covers, among other defects, open seams, damaged springs, broken handles, and a broken mattress base. This warranty is reserved for the original purchaser of the products. It is not transferable.

 

Products not covered by the extended warranty

The present extended warranty does not cover: all Topper, children's mattresses, mattresses from the Enjoy, Brio, Easy, Basic, Trionfo, Amazonia, Duck, Power, Buon Risveglio, Luxury, Easy Super Top series.

 

How BALDIFLEX will intervene

BALDIFLEX will examine the product and will determine, at its sole discretion, whether the issue falls under the warranty coverage. If deemed covered by the warranty, BALDIFLEX, at its discretion, will either repair the defective product with the assistance of its technical support or replace it with an identical or similar product. This procedure does not apply to unauthorized repair interventions by BALDIFLEX. Replaced parts will become the property of BALDIFLEX. If the item is no longer available for sale at BALDIFLEX, BALDIFLEX will provide an appropriate replacement. BALDIFLEX will determine, at its sole discretion, what replacement is to be considered appropriate.

 

What the extended warranty does not cover

This extended warranty does not apply to products that have been stored or installed incorrectly, used inadequately or improperly, tampered with, altered, or cleaned with unsuitable methods or products (download the guide). This extended warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, nor cuts, scratches, stains, or damage caused by impacts or accidents. The warranty does not apply if the products have been stored in outdoor or humid environments. The warranty does not apply for differences in measurements within a tolerance of ± 3% and in the thicknesses of the slabs within a tolerance of ± 7% due to the assembly of elastic components, which is to be considered normal and does not constitute a defect. The warranty does not apply for the bonding of internal slabs within a tolerance of 3% of the slab surface; slight perimeter delaminations are to be considered normal and static over time.

Our mattresses are put to the test to assess their durability and longevity; we use a machine that simulates the movements of a 140 kg person rolling in bed for 50,000 times. A manometer measures the effect on springs, structures, slats, and padding. The construction must meet the highest standards.

 

Maintenance Instructions

Complete the mattress with a mattress protector or a topper. It is more hygienic as it is easy to remove and clean. Some BALDIFLEX mattresses and pillows have a washable cover. For more information, read the label inside the cover. When washing the mattress cover, make sure the zipper is closed. Vacuuming the mattress helps remove dust and mites. Use an upholstery cleaner to remove stains.

 

If the mattress is turnable (to switch the head side and the foot side), you should turn it every three months or so. Turning a mattress ensures that wear is more even and helps prolong its comfort. Do not fold the mattress. This could damage the springs and internal materials. Even the best mattresses become less comfortable with age, and all mattresses accumulate dust and mites over the years, so we recommend changing the mattress every 8-10 years.

 

Before using it for the first time

The new mattress may initially feel too firm. Allow at least a month for your body to adjust and for the mattress to conform to your shape. To achieve maximum comfort, you also need the right pillow. Make sure you have a pillow that is suitable for your body and your new mattress. Vacuum-packed mattresses must be opened within 5 days of delivery and regain their shape after 3-4 days of use. All new materials have a particular smell that gradually fades. By vacuuming the mattress and airing it out, the smell will disappear more quickly.

 

Application of national laws

This warranty is in addition to the rights provided for the protection of consumers by Legislative Decree No. 206/2005 and subsequent amendments and additions (Consumer Code). Therefore, the extended warranty stated herein does not affect your legal rights in any way.
