Everyday life at home puts a mattress to the test. BALDIFLEX mattresses comply with the strictest quality and durability standards, and are rigorously tested to withstand daily life at home. For this reason, on mattresses, BALDIFLEX allows you to extend the guarantee against any defects in materials and manufacturing. This warranty is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this document.
Extended warranty duration
The extended mattress warranty is valid for ten (10) years from the date of purchase. It is necessary to show the original receipt or a copy of the web order, as proof of purchase.
Validity of the extended warranty
This extended warranty is offered by Baldi s.r.l. (hereinafter also “BALDIFLEX”) and is valid in Italy. The additional guarantees will be valid exclusively from the effective date established by BALDIFLEX depending on the products involved, taking into account the date indicated in the purchase document. BALDIFLEX may at its discretion modify the application of the guarantees over time starting from a pre-established date. What the extended warranty covers
This extended warranty applies to home use only and covers defects in material and workmanship on all mattresses. The extended warranty , among other defects, covers open seams, damaged springs, broken handles, and a cracked mattress base. This warranty is reserved for the original purchaser of the products. It is not transferable.
Products not covered by the extended warranty
This extended warranty does not cover: all Toppers, children's mattresses, mattresses in the Enjoy, Brio, Easy, Trionfo, Amazonia and Duck series.
How BALDIFLEX will intervene
BALDIFLEX will examine the product and determine, in its sole discretion, whether the problem falls within the warranty coverage. If considered covered by the warranty, BALDIFLEX, at its discretion, will repair the defective product with the intervention of its technical assistance, or replace it with an equal or similar product. This procedure does not apply to repair interventions not authorized by BALDIFLEX. The replaced parts will become the property of BALDIFLEX. If the item is no longer for sale at BALDIFLEX, BALDIFLEX will provide an appropriate replacement. BALDIFLEX will determine, in its sole discretion, what replacement is considered appropriate.
What the extended warranty does not cover
This extended warranty does not apply to products that have been improperly stored or installed, used inappropriately or improperly, tampered with, altered, or cleaned with unsuitable methods or products (download the guide ). This extended warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or nicks, scratches, stains, or damage caused by impacts or accidents. The warranty does not apply if the products have been stored outdoors or in humid environments. The guarantee does not apply for differences in measurements within a tolerance of ± 3% and in the thicknesses of the sheets within a tolerance of ± 7% due to the assembly of elastic components, which is to be considered normal and does not constitute a defect. The guarantee does not apply to the bonding of the internal sheets within a tolerance of 3% of the surface of the sheet, slight detachments on the perimeter are to be considered normal and static over time.
Our mattresses are put to the test to test resistance and durability, we use a machine that simulates the movements of a 140kg person rolling in bed 50,000 times. A pressure gauge measures the effect on springs, structures, slats and padding. The construction must meet the highest requirements.
Maintenance instructions
Complete the mattress with a mattress protector or a topper. It is more hygienic as it is easy to remove and clean. Some BALDIFLEX mattresses and pillows have a washable cover. For more information, read the label inside the cover. When washing your mattress cover, make sure the zipper is closed. Vacuuming the mattress helps remove dust and mites. Use an upholstery cleaner to remove stains.
If the mattress is rotatable (to swap the head and foot sides), you should turn it about every three months. Turning a mattress ensures that wear is more even and helps prolong its comfort. Do not fold the mattress. This could damage the springs and internal materials. Even the best mattresses become less comfortable with age and all mattresses accumulate dust and mites over the years, so we recommend changing your mattress every 8-10 years.
Before using it for the first time
The new mattress may initially seem too hard. Leave at least a month for your body to get used to it and for the mattress to adapt to your shape. To get maximum comfort you also need to have the right pillow. Make sure you have a pillow that is appropriate for your body and your new mattress. Vacuum rolled mattresses must be opened within 5 days of delivery and will regain their shape after 3-4 days of use. All new materials have a particular odor that gradually disappears. By vacuuming the mattress and airing it, the odor will disappear more quickly.
Application of national laws
This guarantee is additional to the rights that Legislative Decree no. 206/2005 and subsequent amendments and additions provide for consumer protection (Consumer Code). Therefore the extended warranty reported herein does not in any case affect your legal rights.
